In the Urban Arrow Tales series, we portray families going through their daily adventures with the Family cargo bike. In this edition, we introduce to you: Daisy May Breuer and her beautiful family.
Who are you?
We are Daisy May Breuer (31), Emile (34), and Soe Huisman (8 months), living in The Hague. Daisy works as a freelance brand creative for events, marketing campaigns, and shoots, and Emile works as Head of Sales. We have been a proud Urban Arrow family since early 2024, when our daughter Soe was born.
When did you first go for a ride with Soe?
On Mother’s Day, Emile rented an Urban Arrow as a surprise, and we were hooked!
What do you remember about your first cargo bike adventure as a family?
I sat next to the car seat, and the sun was shining beautifully. We cycled through the dunes and felt super proud. It was an amazing experience!
How has the cargo bike changed your daily routine?
It’s super convenient, not just for our little one, but also for taking out the recycling or going on a big shopping trip, haha!
What are the biggest advantages you’ve experienced since using the Urban Arrow cargo bike?
Convenience and it’s also more sustainable than always taking the car.
What is the most fun or memorable moment you’ve had with the cargo bike so far?
This shoot with Urban Arrow was a lot of fun, and also when Emile took his first long ride to Zoetermeer – he cycled past all the family!
Are there any accessories or modifications you’ve made to make the cargo bike even more handy?
The baby car seat adapter is really a plus for us, and I still want to get a net to store some things.
Do you have any tips for families considering getting a cargo bike?
Take a test ride, so you can feel and experience how easy it is!
Which spots in The Hague would you recommend for a nice family (cargo) bike ride?
The beach, cycling along the harbor, and then getting some kibbeling on the boulevard. Perfect way to unwind!
