Urban Arrow x Make-A-Wish

Friday, September 26 was anything but an ordinary workday for us, the Urban Arrow team and part of Pon. Together we dedicated our day to Make-A-Wish Netherlands, the foundation that gives children between the ages of 3 and 18 with serious illnesses strength and hope by fulfilling their greatest wish. Make-A-Wish receives no government funding and relies entirely on donations, fundraising events and partnerships with companies and individuals. Since its founding in 1989, thousands of wishes have already been granted, and this time it was our turn, the Urban Arrow team, to contribute to making that magic happen.
Julia’s biggest wish
We did all this for Julia, a cheerful 5-year-old from Amstelveen who lives with a severe form of epilepsy. Her biggest wish? A party full of surprises. Her wish list immediately made us smile: unicorns, princesses, trampolines, pancakes, pizza, and ice cream. There was also a challenge involved, as we had to take her epilepsy into account meaning it shouldn’t be too overwhelming, and we had to make sure there were plenty of calm moments throughout the day.
Our goals were clear: raise 2,500 euros so Make-A-Wish can make even more dreams come true and organize an unforgettable day for Julia.

Making Magic Happen
After a short brainstorming session, we divided the tasks: fundraising, preparation and the wish day itself. Before long, ideas started flowing, companies responded enthusiastically and everyone wanted to be involved.
And the result? Thanks to colleagues, friends and family, we raised an incredible €7,934. Julia’s dream day also came to life: from choosing a princess outfit to riding a real unicorn pony, enjoying pancakes with her family, playing with all her friends, getting her face painted by a professional make-up artist and ending the day at home with a pizza and ice cream truck. And how did she travel from one place to another? In nothing less than a pink limousine!
Why we do this
As part of PON, we believe it’s important not only to shape the future of urban mobility but also to contribute to the society around us. That’s why we’re proud to support initiatives that truly make an impact like Make-A-Wish.
Together with colleagues from different departments, we joined forces to give Julia and her family an unforgettable day. It was inspiring to see how everyone contributed in their own way through their expertise, creativity, and enthusiasm, from organizing activities to reaching out to companies and spreading the word. Even colleagues who couldn’t be there on the day were fully involved from the office and supported the cause with generous donations.
Thanks to the dedication of our team, our colleagues at Urban Arrow, our dealers, friends, and families, we managed to raise a wonderful amount. This means even more children’s wishes can come true, something we at Urban Arrow, and as part of Pon, are incredibly proud of.
